ASTM A387 Grade 5 Class1 plates are high-performance alloy steel plates that include molybdenum and chromium as the main content. In addition to these are alloyed with other content such as manganese, nickel, and silicon. The addition of molybdenum content offers superior tensile strength and whereas the chromium content offers superior resistance to corrosion and oxidation at elevated temperatures.
