From the point of view of mechanism, it is generally believed that non-metallic inclusions in tube billet will destroy the continuity and compactness of no. 45 structural steel tube, and serious inclusions may even cause stratification inside no. 45 structural steel tube.
The other is hydrogen induced crack, that is, due to hydrogen accumulation in the steel, the gas partial pressure inside the metal is too high, forming a white point in the round tube billet, and the crack expands in the rolling process, finally forming a layered defect. In addition, stratification is also caused by stress exceeding plastic strength due to the non-uniform deformation of two-roll cross-rolling perforations.
In the case of strict smelting control, the third situation usually occurs. The control measures are as follows: improve the plastic toughness of no. 45 structural steel tube, improve the cleanliness of the steel and reduce harmful inclusions; the proportion of equiaxed grains in continuous casting billet was increased, and the central segregation and central porosity were decreased. Adopt reasonable cooling system to avoid inner crack in billet. Slow cooling process is adopted for downline casting billet or continuous rolling billet.
