ASTM A519 Gr4130 belongs to the carbon tempered steel of CR-MO system, which has high yield strength and tensile strength and good notch toughness. The material has high carbon content, and its hardenability and tempering softening resistance can be improved by increasing Cr, Mo and other elements. Through chemical composition and simulation test, it is found that the steel is prone to crack or embrittlement in the heat-affected zone during welding.
